MOSL moves on diversity and inclusion

Water market operator MOSL has joined the Energy and Utility Skills Partnership Inclusion Commitment, which binds those who sign up to promote diversity and inclusion across the sector.

MOSL is the 44th company to join since the launch of the Commitment in February 2019.

MOSL said only 5% of the water sector’s employees are from black, Asian or minority ethnic (BAME) groups compared to 12% nationally, and while BAME colleagues represent 25% of MOSL’s workforce, “we know we have more work to do to focus on inclusion in its entirety and ensure representation at every level of the business”.

Chief executive, Sarah McMath, and portfolio manager, Liz D’Arcy, have also recently been accepted as mentors on the 30% Club Mentoring Programme, which was developed to achieve a greater gender balance at all levels within organisations. The mentoring programme is delivered by Moving Ahead, a social impact organisation “working to create an inclusive society in which individuals and organisations can be at their best”.
