Yorkshire Water operating profit ticks up

Yorkshire Water has reported operating profit up £5m to £237m on revenue increased 3.7% to £908m for the year to 31 March 2023.

Interest receivable for the year rose £23m to £65m with interest payable up £109m to £376m. A fair value gain on derivatives for the period of £797m was up from a fair value loss of £370m in the previous year. Profit before tax was £723m from a loss £353m in the previous year.
