Yorkshire Water extends partnership with Stantec

Yorkshire Water has extended, by five years, its Strategic Planning Partnership with Stantec for the AMP8 period. 

The decision followed the water company’s “comprehensive review” of the seven year old relationship, which Stantec estimated as having made £200m worth of efficiency savings for Yorkshire Water.

Stantec listed “stand-out projects” arising from the partnership including: 

• the integrated, constructed wetland at Clifton Wastewater Treatment Works – a nature-based solution that has stimulated wildlife diversity and made carbon savings; and

• Hough Side Wastewater Treatment Works – the first integrated wetland in England to use non-groundwater storm treatment.
