Xylem claims it will meet smart meter demand

Smart meter manufacturer, Xylem, has responded to “concern from utilities about availability of smart water meters” with a declaration that its “robust forecasting process” and “increased production and testing capacity across three manufacturing sites” has readied it “to meet the UK demand for smart water meters in AMP8.”

Xylem’s Adam Parsonage said water company concerns were  “understandable” but claimed Xylem has “an accurate view of future demand” and its processes enable “effective allocation of components and products”. He said the firm has already invested in additional capacity at its three European manufacturing centres and opened a “state-of-the-art test facility for water meters” in Germany.
