WICS to transfer Wave retail licences

The Water Industry Commission for Scotland is consulting until 25 May on transferring retail water and sewerage services licences held by NWG Business to Anglian Water Business (National). This follows an application made by the latter in March.

The Commission has published the relevant licences, and has included a new ordinary condition “to ensure its continuing ability to take regulatory action where considered necessary in order to protect the interests of customers”. Barring any issues, it anticipates making the transfer on 1 June.

Anglian Water Business and NWG Business joined forces under the brand Wave in 2017. Anglian Water Business has been active in the Scottish market since 2008.
