David Satti, who has been acting as interim chief executive of the Water Industry Commission for Scotland (WICS) since March 2024, has now secured the permanent post.
A WICS statement said Satti had “successfully guided the organisation through the early stages of significant organisational change,” which followed serious concerns raised by the Auditor General for Scotland about financial and governance conduct at the regulator, and led to the departure of WICS’ long-term former chief executive.
Ronnie Hinds, interim chair, said: “I would… like to thank David for his dedicated leadership as interim CEO during a period of transition for WICS. His contribution to the significant improvements that have been made to our governance and management have been invaluable.”
Satti was formerly WICS’ director of strategy, and in his early career worked as an equity analyst.
