Welsh Water consults on its long-term drainage plan
Welsh Water has published its first Drainage and Wastewater Management Plan (DWMP) for consultation.
Stakeholders have until 5 October to feed back on the plan, which seeks to enable the drainage system to cope with challenges including climate change, urban creep and increased development, through to 2050. It considers Welsh Water’s assets, and those owned and managed by others.
The final plan will be published in March 2023.
Welsh Water joined all of the English wastewater companies, who are already consulting on their DWMPs.
