Waterscan secures new investment and board appointments

LDC, a private equity investor which is part of Lloyds Banking Group, has invested £12m in Waterscan to support its organic growth strategy.

LDC has backed the existing Waterscan management team, led by managing director Neil Pendle. The investment will support expansion of the sustainability and self-supply specialist’s technology, consultancy and sustainability service offerings.

LDC investment director Stefan Gunn and investment executive Sally Tam joined the Waterscan board as non-executive directors. In addition, Neil Penhall, former chief executive of environmental consultancy SLR Consulting and with more than 35 years’ experience in the sustainability sector, has been appointed as chair.

The new investors replace Kaye Enterprises, which has now exited the operation.
