Water UK and Waterwise join forces to launch water efficiency campaign
Water UK and Waterwise have teamed up to launch today a new, summer-long national campaign for water efficiency.
The campaign, Water’s worth saving , will focus on motivating people to save water, raising awareness and providing advice – principally through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, with supplementary PR activity. The campaign seeks to reach 20m customers by the end of September.
It is the first time companies have joined forces through a sustained campaign with unified messaging. It comes as demand has soared by 25% on average and up to 40% in some areas, fuelled by stay at home advice and warm temperatures.
High usage is expected to continue over the summer, given the expected surge in ‘staycations’. It also follows criticism of the low impact of the cross sector but Environment Agency led Love Water campaign.
