Water Resources East appoints new managing director
Water Resources East (WRE) has appointed Daniel Johns as its new managing director. Johns joins today from Anglian Water where has been head of public affairs.
Johns (pictured) was formerly a senior civil servant at Defra where he worked on water, agriculture, and environment policy, and before that spent four years at the Climate Change Committee as head of adaptation.
He succeeds Dr Robin Price who will return to his former employer, Anglian Water, to take up the new role of director of quality and environment.
Johns is a fellow of the Chartered Institution of Water Environmental Management and chair of the National Flood Forum Board of Trustees.
WRE and the other four regional water resource planning groups will issue their emerging regional plans later today.
