Water Research Centre enlists MWH team to boost leakage expertise

The Water Research Centre (WRc) has added the Infrastructure Asset Management (IAM) team of ten engineers and consultants from its RSK stablemate, MWH Treatment, to its leakage expertise. .

According to WRc the IAM team brings expertise in “securing client benefits relating to water quality, leakage, supply interruptions, risks of severe restrictions, and customer satisfaction”. Its clients include Severn Trent Water, Thames Water and Anglian Water.

WRc has highlighted the team’s capabilities in network modelling and analytics as well as leakage consultancy

The team, led by Glen Mountfort, will be based at the WRc new regional office at Soapworks in Manchester and it will work with WRc’s head of water networks, Richard Foster. “The UK water industry is at a stage in its journey where new ideas and new ways of working are required for a step-change in performance, and the new Water Networks team at WRc provide the expertise and support to the industry to enable this change,” said Foster.
