Water Plus ups tree planting plans as part of bid for carbon neutrality by 2025

Water Plus has pledged 500 more trees will be planted under its Cleaner Climate Promise – to be carbon neutral across its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by the end of 2025.

The company said each of the 500 additional trees will be “buddied” with hydro power and solar panel farms, with verification on the carbon emissions prevented through UK-based Carbon Footprint.

Water Plus said last year, its peatland restoration projects prevented 400 tonnes of greenhouse gases being released.
