Water Plus has started a two-year charity partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust, with funding for 100 hours of support work to help young cancer patients during their treatments.
The funding will go to youth support coordinators, who work alongside Teenage Cancer Trust nurses to ensure the young people in their care have the emotional support needed following a cancer diagnosis.
The hours will be divided between the Midlands (75 hours) and Scotland (25 hours).
Teenage Cancer Trust funds specialist nurses, youth support teams and hospital units, including in Staffordshire, the Midlands, Edinburgh and Glasgow. There are 92 Teenage Cancer Trust nurses and youth support coordinators and 28 specialist cancer units in hospitals across the UK.
Last year, Water Plus raised money for support groups for adults with cancer.
