Water Direct to supply Ancala Water Services

Ancala Water Services has entered a four-year contact with alternative water supply provider Water Direct, to support its Ministry of Defence (MoD) outsourcing operatation.

Ancala provides water, wastewater and fire system maintenance services to 1,100 UK MoD sites, under the £1bn, 25-year Aquatrine A contract. This involves managing boreholes, reservoirs, treatment works, 45 potable water pumping stations and hundreds of miles of water mains, in addition to managing wastewater assets.

Under the new deal, Water Direct has guaranteed to have a team on site within six hours, at any location within 150km of a Water Direct depot. Water Direct will also conduct a site assessment to identify and audit potential site vulnerabilities.
