Water companies pledge £200m more to support customers struggling with bills

Water companies are stepping up to help customers struggling with the cost of living by putting over £200m more of financial assistance on the table.

Water UK said last week that hundreds of thousands more customers (on top of the 1.1m who already pay reduced bills) will receive help as companies expand their support packages. Some of the new assistance is available already, with other schemes coming online in coming weeks and months.

In addition, Water UK and CCW have launched a new campaign, Support on Tap, under the Water’s Worth Saving banner. This aims to raise awards of the wide range of help available from water companies.
