SPECIAL NOTICE
THE WATER REPORT’s research partner, Accent, is seeking expressions of interest from water companies for a new initiative aimed at understanding and shaping public sentiment in the water industry.
Using a robust approach combining qualitative and quantitative methods, the research will keep regular track of public views on key issues such as sewage management, ownership structures, finances, and trust. The findings would help navigate the evolving public discourse, and ultimately provide insights on fostering a more favourable outlook for the UK water sector.
It will do this by:
• providing real-time, actionable insights that can be leveraged to design targeted communication strategies;
• identifying critical issues, points of contention and non-negotiable elements for the public, while also discerning which aspects are more susceptible to influence from narratives propagated by the media, political parties, and other key interest groups and stakeholders; and
• identifying opportunities to drive change in perceptions and enhance company and industry reputations.
Accent has been closely involved in the water sector for 25 years, and would work collaboratively on the project with other organisations that have industry expertise. The sample would be tailored to include customers from each participating water company, ensuring direct applicability to each organisation’s specific market positions.
