Vacant property project secures Market Improvement Funding
An eighth project has been awarded Market Improvement Funding by the non-household market’s Strategic Panel: Project No One Home aims to improve the monitoring of vacant properties by reviewing methods and technologies for identifying owners/occupiers. It also focuses on ensuring the accuracy of data entered into the market and in opening customer accounts.
The project – led by Occutrace and sponsored by SES Business Water – aims to mitigate the cost of trace work and bad debt; reduce leakage; and ensure only eligible properties are in the market.
Seven other MIF winners were previously announced. With No One Home included, the Strategic Panel has awarded £870k of a possible £1m available in this, the third round.
