Trading parties rate MOSL as 3.8 out of 5 in annual survey
MOSL secured an overall performance rating as a market operator of 3.8 out of 5 in this year’s annual survey of trading parties, which was issued at the beginning of March. This was based on a 42% response rate, up from 37% last year.
In terms of individual service areas, the highest scoring services include ‘market systems’ and ‘maintenance and development of the market codes’ both scoring an average of 3.7 out of 5. ‘Disputes management’ was the lowest scoring service with an average score of 2.6.
Trading parties gave MOSL 3.2 for ‘market operations’ and ‘market assurance’ – on the latter, encouraging greater digitisation and process prioritisation as well as improvement to performance and risk reporting.
On ‘market improvement’ MOSL scored 3.3, with data improvements a priority and progress noted on bilateral and the Strategic Metering Review. On ‘governance and support services’ the market operator scored 3.4, with respondents supporting further code change simplification.
MOSL said it would issue a “light touch” survey in September to continue its delivery tracking.
