Thames Water launches connections charge discount scheme for water efficient development

Developers who commit to water neutrality could save up to £1,800 per property in Thames Water connection charges.

This is part of a new, three-tier connections discount scheme Thames has launched to incentivise developers to build water efficient properties.

The company said discounts are available for those who install low water using devices; deploy rainwater harvesting or grey water recycling technologies for toilet and garden use; or at the high end, pursue water neutrality by also retrofitting water saving devices and fixing leaks in existing homes in the local area.
