Thames unlocks £400m of conditional funding for water supply resilience

Ofwat has approved £400m of water infrastructure funding for Thames Water, that was set aside at PR19 as conditional on the company meeting key delivery milestones and passing a series of detailed investment reviews.

Thames will use the allowance to make major investments at its Coppermills and Hampton water treatment works, under a programme that will run until 2032 and which is designed to increase London’s supply resilience.
