Thames chief names his top three priorities
Health and safety, the corporate turnaround and PR24 will be Thames Water chief executive, Chris Weston’s top three priorities.
That’s according to a Thames post on social media, as Weston completed his first week in the job last week. He said: “At its simplest, I joined Thames because it matters. Our work matters to our customers, our people and to the country. Thames is in a difficult place.
In the near term, the first priority for me is health and safety – our license to operate. Secondly, I’m going to focus on the turnaround, particularly the operational aspects around pollutions and leakage. And thirdly, we need to get the right settlement for our business plan through the PR24 process.
“There’s a lot to do but by focusing on these priorities we can make progress and put Thames Water onto a more stable foundation.”
