Thames appoints new Customer Challenge Group chair

Thames Water has appointed Sukhvinder Kaur-Stubbs as the new chair of its Customer Challenge Group.

Kaur-Stubbs (pictured) is chair of regeneration at the London Legacy Development Corporation; vice chair at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust; and on the board of the Regulator of Social Housing to oversee the development of new consumer standards.

For 12 years she was chief executive of the Barrow Cadbury Trust and of the Runnymede Trust. She has also held leadership roles at the Regional Development Agency for the West Midlands and on the boards of Severn Trent and the Government's watchdog Consumer Focus and before that EnergyWatch.

Kaur-Stubbs replaced Anne Heal, who stepped down as CCG chair last year, and Sir Tony Redmond, who was acting chair from April 2020 and June 2021.
