Strategic Panel consults on priority market outcomes and work areas

Writer: by Karma Lovedayby Karma Loveday

The water retail market’s new and most senior leadership group, the Strategic Panel, has issued for consultation its views on priority market outcomes and work areas.

The three priority outcomes – value creation, customer service excellence and water efficiency as core – are accompanied by five priority work areas identified as the means to achieve them: getting the money right; getting the basics right; water efficiency; getting the incentives right; and innovation. PR24 has been identified as an additional, overarching priority.

Underneath each work area sits a detailed programme of work stretching across three years, aligned to MOSL’s three-year rolling business plan.

In a letter to the market, chair of the Strategic Panel, Trisha McAuley, said: “We consider fundamental change is needed. Our overarching priority is a market that delivers sustainable economic growth in its widest sense, creating social, economic, and environmental value for customers, market participants, society, and the environment.”

Responses are required before 24 June.
