Southern Water appoints new director for natural capital and environment

Southern water has appointed Dr Toby Willison as natural capital and environment director.

Willison (pictured) is a formerly acting chief executive and executive director of operations at the Environment Agency and is currently a non-executive director and member of the Audit Committee at British Water.

His role will include strengthening Southern’s focus on environment and sustainable capital programmes while “continuing to build effective working partnerships with key stakeholders, regulators and government.

Southern said his regulatory knowledge and depth of experience “will also support the delivery of Southern Water’s long-term resilience goals including driving our newly created Customer, Climate and Environment group and the Water for Life Hampshire programme which focuses on future water resources.”
