South West Water completes its AMP8 team
South West Water has made the final additions to its engineering alliance, Amplify, with its appointment of nine organisations – a mix of national and local firms – that will address specialist elements of the water company’s £2.8bn investment programme.
The appointments comprise:
Bridges Electrical Engineering, Kier, Galliford Try, Tecker and Trant Engineering to deliver mechanical and electrical work;
Glanville Environmental and Sapphire Utility Solutions to install and refurbish pipework; and
Glanville, Onsite Central and Lanes Group to provide CCTV and survey work.
The water company unveiled the appointments of its main construction partners and consultants last year: BAM Nuttall, Clancy, Mott McDonald Bentley, Tilbury Douglas, MWH Treatment and Network Plus Envolve. They are supported by consultancies: Stantec, Long O Donnell, Turner & Townsend, Aecom, ChandlersKBS, Arcadis, Pell Frischmann, and WSP.
South West Water said its programme will “drive investment into the local economy”, to create around 2,000 new jobs and 1,000 new apprenticeships and graduate roles.
