South East Water extends social tariff data share work to Tunbridge Wells

South East Water has extended its work using the data sharing provisions of the Digital Economy Act 2017 to automatically transfer customers to its social tariff, without them needing to apply.

The company has partnered with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, which will share its data to enable South East Water to identify households on low incomes who are eligible for a social tariff. These customers will be put straight on the tariff, meaning their bills will be capped.

The partnership follows a similar one between South East Water and Maidstone Borough Council.

  • South East Water received a ServiceMark Accreditation with Distinction from The Institute of Customer Service, for its customer service performance.
