Social value helps Wave secure public sector framework wins

Wave has secured three new direct award framework wins with the public sector:

The North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO) has appointed Wave under a national, sole-supplier framework for the provision of water, wastewater and ancillary services;

Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation, Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation and The Energy Consortium and West Mercia Energy collectively awarded a new water, wastewater and ancillary services framework to Wave under a new national framework covering all aspects of water supply and management for public sector organisations; and

Manchester City Council awarded its TC1007 Framework for Measured and Unmeasured Water Charges to Wave The regional framework agreement will be available to other local authorities and public sector funded organisations based in the north west.

The retailer will deliver services over the next four years under the frameworks, with a focus on driving water and energy efficiencies and providing cost savings. It reported that it ranked first for quality on all three bids, and that its social value offering was highly commended – including firm commitments to water and carbon reduction targets and other green initiatives. Over 60 public sector organisations are now signed up with more coming on board.

Wave also retained its place on the Crown Commercial Services Water, Wastewater and Ancillary Services framework until 2024 as well as the LASER framework, both of which support public organisations in finding services that help them be more efficient and improve resilience.
