Severn Trent will next month launch a scheme that allows smart-metered customers to earn Nectar points for reducing their water use.
Around 25,000 smart-metered customers will be selected for the 18-month pilot, run in partnership with Nectar360 and funded by Ofwat’s Innovation Fund.
Severn Trent said it was an industry first to partner with a loyalty programme to reward customers for good water consumption behaviours.
