Severn Trent bags biogas producer

Severn rent Group has acquired biogas firm Andigestion through its ST Green Power subsidiary. The deal is subject to clearance by the Competition and Markets Authority.

The water company said the acquisition will add 45GWh a year to ST Green Power’s power generation output and extend it reach into the South West England covering Bristol, Gloucester and Exeter. The company processes business and household food waste to produce biomethane to fuel power generation.
