Severn Trent appoints new non-executive director

Severn Trent Group has appointed Nicholas Hampton as a non-executive director of the company with effect from 4 April 2025. 

On 1 May he will succeed Kevin Beeston who retires on 30 April from his position as a senior independent non-executive director and member of the Audit and Risk, Nominations, Remuneration and Treasury Committees. Hampton has also been appointed to the Board of Severn Trent Water Limited.

Hampton is currently chief executive officer of Tate & Lyle, a position to which he was appointed in 2018 having served as chief financial officer since 2014. He is also senior independent director of Great Portland Estates, where he has served on the board since October 2016. He has held a number of senior financial, commercial and operational roles at PepsiCo Inc., covering the UK and Ireland, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
