SES Water pioneers virtual water efficiency home checks

Updated: Jul 12, 2020

SES Water has started providing virtual water efficiency home checks for free, given access to customer premises is restricted during coronavirus.

It is offering customers the opportunity to book an online Zoom consultation for efficiency advice and to identify leaks, in partnership with water efficiency solutions provider Save Water Save Money. Dependent on what is identified during the consultation, the customer may be offered a follow-up appointment for a plumber to attend their property and fix any leaking appliances or install water saving devices, free of charge.

The company said it was the first in the industry to make this virtual service available. It is targeted to make a 10 litre cut to Per Capita Consumption by 2025. Across SES Water’s supply area, each person uses around 150 litres a day – higher than the UK average.
