Sector's centre of excellence selects net zero carbon as its first challenge theme
The water sector’s new innovation Centre of Excellence – Spring – has chosen net zero carbon as the theme for its first innovation challenge.
Spring has set a two-part challenge for innovators:
• a call, open until 14 March, for implementable innovations which address the specific question: "How can a reduction in operational emissions from water and wastewater treatment be achieved?" and
• an call open from 1 April until 25 April. for solutions and ideas within the theme of "achieving net zero carbon."
Spring has partnered with Isle Utilities to run this first innovation challenge, and a panel of water industry carbon experts will assess submissions. Successful applicants will be invited to pitch their innovations to key water industry decision makers.
