Sustainable solutions specialist RSK Group has completed a £520m capital injection to support its growth strategy.

£500m has been raised from a consortium of new investors formed of Searchlight Capital Partners, Ares Management Funds and Penta Capital. £20m came from existing shareholder BGF. Ares has also made an incremental £300m debt facility available.

The capital will underpin both organic growth initiatives and the continued execution of the RSK’s acquisition strategy – which has seen it acquire over 100 businesses in the last five years. Its portfolio now comprises more than 200 environmental, engineering and technical services businesses and 15,000 employees.

RSK founder and chief executive Alan Ryder commented: “We are delivering crucial environmental and engineering services to help government and business clients around the world achieve a more sustainable future and in approaching these projects, we are conscious of our unique ability to draw on consultancy, technical services and engineering skills across the water, energy, construction and infrastructure sectors. We believe this offering to be unmatched in the marketplace and it enables us to offer a complete project management package to our clients, from inception to delivery.”
