Galliford Try’s Environment business managing director Stephen Slessor has been appointed chief executive of modular water treatment specialist RSE.

Slessor (pictured) will join RSE in January 2024 after 17 years with Galliford Try. He said he planned to “build something unique and game changing in the water sector – a true disruptor. RSE’s differentiated technical offering, including its modular approach to water treatment, will shape the future of the sector in the UK and abroad”.
Current RSE chief executive, Iain MacGregor, who will remain an executive director and shareholder, said Slessor joins after four years of significant growth, which has seen RSE move from a £60m Scottish player to a £250m UK-wide specialist.
Six months ago it secured investment from London-based equity partner, MML. MacGregor commented: “Demand for innovation to meet the needs of the water sector is positioning RSE for further growth.”
