Regional resource groups appoint independent chairs

Two regional water groups have announced the appointment of new independent chairs.

Former Environment Agency chief executive, Dr Paul Leinster CBE (pictured left), will chair Water Resources East (WRE), taking over from Henry Cator. Meanwhile Chris Murray MBE (right), who has more than 40 years of utility experience in executive roles including at National Grid, Phoenix Natural Gas and Xoserve, will take over from Simon Cocks as chair of WRSE.

WRE also announced it has appointed Cambridge Water managing director Andy Willicott to its board, replacing Pete Aspley who is retiring.
