Portsmouth appoints regulatory policy expert to its board

Portsmouth Water has appointed regulatory policy expert Dr Lara Stoimenova, to its board as an Independent non-executive director and chair of the water company’s Audit and Risk Committee.
Stoimenova (pictured) will also be a member of Portsmouth board subgroup overseeing delivery of Portsmouth Water’s PR24 business plan.
She is the founder of regulation advisor, Sigma Economics,and has more than 20 years’ experience in public and private sectors. She is currently an independent member on the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority Board and chair of its Audit and Risk Committee. And she is a trustee at the Reform Think Tank.
Before founding Sigma, Stoimenova was a partner at Flint Global and co-head of its competition and regulatory practice. Prior to that, she held senior roles at the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority and telecoms regulator, the Office of Communication.
