Pennon Group was the highest placed utility in the latest independent report which encourages Britain’s largest companies to improve the representation of women on boards and in leadership positions (see table).
Over half of Pennon’s board positions are held by women, including the roles of chair and chief executive.
As the table shows, water companies filled five of the 11 spaces in the utilities sector ranking, including taking the four top spots.
