Paul Kissack to take up Defra permanent secretary post from October

The Cabinet Office has appointed Paul Kissack as the new permanent secretary at Defra.
He is currently group chief executive of the poverty and social change organisation the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust.
Kissack takes up post in October. Until then, David Hill will continue in the interim role following Tamara Finkelstein’s departure after a six year tenure.
