Oxford stream becomes the country’s second designated river bathing site
Defra has awarded bathing water status to the country’s second river, designating part of the Wolvercote Mill Stream at Port Meadow in Oxford last week. The award followed extensive support at consultation.
East Cowes esplanade on the Isle of Wight was also designated as a new bathing water.
