Only three in ten adults have heard about the need to save water
Only three of ten adults have heard about the need to save water according to the findings of survey by Water UK. However, almost three quarters of respondents thought reducing household consumption of water was an important measure for protecting the environment.
More than four out of five of those polled by Water UK claimed they “try to save at least some water in their day-to-day life.” Just over 40% said they were worried about UK water supplies running out in the next 25 years but one in four said they did not share that concern.
Scottish Water has called on its customers to use water as efficiently as possible due to record low levels in reservoirs across the country. The call followed a spell of warm, dry weather and comes in advance of further dry weather forecast for next week and beyond.
