Ofwat issues information request to retailers on customers and pricing

Ofwat has issued a formal Request for Information (RFI) to business water retailers to inform its market monitoring work.

Retailers have until 28 May to provide the information, including on the customer landscape in the market, use of third party intermediaries, and the price offers and savings available for customers.

Ofwat has made some amendments to its draft RFI in light of retailer feedback, including clarifying elements of its request and adding questions.

The regulator will use the information to inform its autumn Business Retail Market Update and ongoing policy work.
