Ofwat consults on un-invoiced wholesaler charges if a retailer exits

Ofwat is consulting on proposals to deal with un-invoiced wholesaler charges in the event of an unplanned retailer exit in the business market.

These concern how to implement an existing decision to amend the Revenue Forecasting Incentive (a PR19 reconciliation mechanism) and the PR19 Reconciliation Rulebook. And a proposed change to the Wholesale Retail Code to remove the risk of unintended consequences from the implementation of change proposal CPW079 in February 2020 concerning protections for credit support security.

The consultation closes on 29 October.
