Northumbrian Water opens 2023 Innovation Festival

Northumbrian Water’s eighth annual Innovation Festival begins today with participants from within, around and outside the water industry working on projects to address some of the sector’s biggest problems.

The participants at the four-day event will take part in one of:

26 so-called sprints – where a solution to a problem is produced through a few days of intense work;

three hacks – Sprints with an IT and data focus; and

six daily dashes.

The spread of challenges addressed include storm water drainage, mains leakage repair, and customer communication.

The Innovation Festival 2023 runs 10-13 July at Newcastle Racecourse.
