Northumbrian Water manager wins ICE Fellowship
Northumbrian Water strategic planning manager, Carol Cairns, has been awarded an Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) Fellowship – the most senior grade of membership reserved for senior civil engineers who have made a significant contribution to the profession.
Cains, (pictured) from Sunderland, has been a member of the ICE for nearly 30 years since her graduation with a civil engineering degree. She is one of only nine female ICE fellows in the North East including the company’s chief executive, Heidi Mottram.
