Northumbrian Water lists 2022-23 achievements
Northumbrian Water Group, has published its 2022-23 report on its guiding principles: Our purpose, listing high performances by the company in pollution control and customer satisfaction among it achievements in the past 12 months.
Writing in the report, Northumbrian chief, Heid Mottram, said:"Our purpose is caring for the essential needs of our communities and environment, now and for generations to come."
The report highlights included "zero serious pollutions, reducing discharges from storm overflows and delivering on our nine ambitious pledges for our coasts and rivers," during the report period.
It also pointed to its ranking as "top for C-MeX" in the year and "achieving major reductions in sewer flooding through faster response, proactive prevention and our Bin The Wipe campaign."
The report includes the assertion: "Our customers are, rightly, very concerned about their local environment, and we take our responsibility for the water environment in our operating areas very seriously... we have used innovative approaches to prevent pollution, further reduced our greenhouse gas emissions, and improved more than 100km of our accessible water environment."
