Northumbrian takes global ethical lead

Northumbrian Water Group one of five UK companies, and the only water and sewerage company in the world, to be named in this year's World's Most Ethical Company list complied by business practices advisor, the Ethisphere Institute. It is Northumbrian’ tenth appearance on the list.

The list gives those on it “world-wide recognition of strong ethical performance, supporting its customers, communities, the environment and its people in the past year.”

The 2021 list comprised 135 companies form 47 industries in 22 countries. Those companies were credited with having “illustrated their driving force for improving communities, building capable and empowered workforces, and champion corporate cultures focused on ethics and a strong sense of purpose.”
