Northumbrian first water firm to win responsible business accreditation
Northumbrian Water has won accreditation for responsible business practices from trades union and business leaders-endorsed body, the Good Business Charter (GBC) making it the first water company to do so according to the GBC
GBC awards businesses based on measures of various components including paying the real living wage, fair hours and contracts, employee well-being, employee representation, diversity and inclusion, environmental responsibility, paying fair tax, commitment to customers, ethical sourcing, and prompt payment.
Independent, not-for-profit organisation, the Good Business Charter, is supported by the Confederation of British Industry and the Trades Union Congress.
