Northumbrian festival is largest ever

Northumbrian Water has reported that its recent Innovation Festival was “without doubt the biggest festival we have ever had,” attended by “over 3,000 innovators” at Newcastle Racecourse.

Event attendees included “representatives from every water company in the country, as well as senior officials from the utility and environmental sectors.”

Head of innovation at Northumbrian Water Group, Angela MacOscar, said the festival outstripped its predecessors “in terms of the physical size of it, the number of people and also in terms of the ideas that have already started to emerge.”

She added: “We know that some of these fabulous ideas will evolve into some real-life concepts that will help to make our services even better for our customers.”
