Northern Ireland Water reports drop in leakage

Northern Ireland Water has reported a 1.7% reduction in water leakage to 157.7 MI/d. in the past year during which its leakage teams had repaired some 220 leaks a week.

Northern Ireland Water’s head of water, Brian McCalmont, said the company had recently expanded its leakage team, and was upskilling staff on leakage repair and detection methods.
