MPs to hold pre-appointment hearing for new Ofwat chair on Wednesday

Defra’s preferred candidate to succeed Jonson Cox as chair of Ofwat, Iain Coucher, will appear before the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee on Wednesday for his pre-appointment hearing.

Subject to the committee’s report, Coucher (pictured) will take up post on 1 July.

The meeting starts at 9.45am in Westminster and can be viewed online.
